Terms of Use

You agree not to:

• ◆Attempt to bypass per-visitor usage caps (IP/device-cookie rotation, throttle-evasion tools).
• ◆Use the AI assistant or JD-match feature to generate harmful, illegal, defamatory, hateful, or harassing content.
• ◆Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise probe the platform.
• ◆Scrape, mirror, or republish portal content at scale without written consent.
• ◆Upload content for which you do not hold the necessary rights.

The AI assistant "Folio" answers strictly from indexed portfolio data and is system-prompt-hardened to refuse questions outside that scope or that ask for private contact details. Despite our guardrails:

• ◆AI output may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate; verify critical details directly with the Profoliate team.
• ◆The JD-match score is an opinion, not a decision. No recruitment outcome is automated.
• ◆Per-visitor lifetime caps apply per portal to prevent abuse.

If you purchase a portal, the fee is a one-time charge. Approval is at our discretion. Specifically:

• ◆If we reject your submission, the payment is refunded in full via the original payment method within 7 working days.
• ◆If approved, the portal is published at your-subdomain.profoliate.com and stays live for as long as it complies with these terms.
• ◆We may charge fair use overage for AI usage above the daily cap, with prior notice.

You retain full ownership of content you upload (CV, photos, logos, impact descriptions, certificate PDFs). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, index, display, and stream it on your portal for as long as your portal is active. Upon deletion, the licence terminates and the content is removed within 30 days.

The platform code, design system, and brand are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. No licence is granted by these terms except as expressly stated.

We may suspend or remove a portal if it violates these terms, with notice where reasonable. Persistent or severe violations may result in permanent account termination without refund.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our aggregate liability is capped at the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your breach of these terms, your unlawful use of the platform, or your infringement of any third-party right.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of India.

We will update the version above when these terms change materially and prompt you to re-accept on your next sign-in.
